Bookbinding with Bridget - Workshop

Spend the day crafting two unique books. We will start the day by creating our own decorative papers using Hosho paper, coloured inks and plant forms. These beautiful papers will be used to cover both our hand crafted accordion and French link stitch book. The classic accordion book will be reimagined by combining several bookmaking techniques to create an original format with a selection of different papers. This ample sized accordion book (19x19cm cover and extra long) will be ready to use as an artists book, a display book or that special gift. The second book is a hard cover A5 book with plenty of pages all bound together with the beautiful French link stitch that enables the book to open flat and serves as a decorative spine. All specialist materials and tools provided including high quality watercolour paper for the accordion book. Choose from a selection of coloured papers, threads and inks to personalise your colours and designs. A set of 'how to' notes will be provided so that you can continue the craft at home. Bring lunch and an apron.
