About the book:
When Poppy was born, it was ɑ long time before she could come home from the hospital, so when Jessie-Dog has ɑ puppy that's smaller than the others, Poppy insists it can do everything the other pups can do.
But Dad says there’s no place for weak pups on ɑ farm. Poppy has to convince him to let her take care of Pipsqueak, determined to prove the little pup can grow into ɑ fine dog.

About the author: Deb Kelly is a multi-award winning, internationally published author of picture books, junior fiction, middle grade and young adult titles. She has also published poetry and material for the educational market. Her books include the Ruby Wishfingers series, dinosaur disco, little horses, the doll box and TTAO which was recently included on the NSW school’s curriculum. Deb is passionate about literacy and enjoys visiting schools, libraries and festival events to share her books with children. She has a degree in marine science and recently completed a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the University of Newcastle.
About the guest speaker: Megan Barr is a speech pathologist and special education teacher who has a long history of working with children with disabilities. Megan lectured several courses in the speech pathology program at University of Newcastle for 14 years, including her favorite area of teaching communication skills to children with hearing loss. Windale Hub has a rear car park accessible from Shade Lane. There is 1 accessible car park with a ramp leading to the building. The building also has an internal ramp.
There is a second entry to the library on Lake Street with 2-hour parking available. The library has accessible toilet, and all meeting rooms have a hearing loop.
