The Faculty of Society & Design at Bond invite you to join us for a special guest lecture by project management leaders, Sunwater

The Faculty of Society & Design at Bond University invite all current Project Management students to come together for a special industry guest lecture by Sunwater, hosted on campus at Bond University (Building 3, Level 2, Room 26). We are also pleased to extend this invitation to our Project Management alumni.

Guest Speaker, Mal Shepherd | Chief Development Officer Infrastructure Development and Delivery from SunWater.
Mal leads Sunwater’s Infrastructure Development and Delivery function, that is responsible for feasibility, planning and investigation services across the project development lifecycle including options assessments, detailed business cases and final investment proposals. The project delivery function is responsible for the execution phase of capital projects including engineering, procurement, commercial, construction and commissioning through portfolio, program, or project approaches.

Mal brings to Sunwater over 35 years ‘of water industry experience from the private and public sector, working in both domestic and international markets, along with delivering some of Australia’s most significant water infrastructure programs and projects via a broad range of contracting models.

Mal has a passion for sustainable development which has led to his recognition in the industry as an advocate for enhancing performance in safety, wellbeing, diversity, and skills across the sector.

He is an Associate Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, a Chartered Associate Engineer, an Engineering Executive (NER), a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Project Management, a professional member of the Australian Water Association, and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has also held roles as a Non-Executive Director and Advisory Committee member for water industry associations and not-for-profit organisations.

Mal holds a Master of Business Administration, Graduate Certificate of Business Administration, Diploma in Project Management and Certificate in Civil Engineering.
