"BOLLY DANCE IN A FLASH MOB" FOR INTERMEDIATES COURSE @ City (5 weeks)

Description
This course covers Bollywood Styles combining more complex Jazz, Classical Indian, Latin, Arabic, Funk and Hip hop dance moves and technique. The course will assume technique taught in the Mango Beginner Bollywood Courses. You will learn Performance technique, Stage technique and how to give it that wow factor when performing in front of an audience.
The course ends with a FLASH MOB at a secret location on SUNDAY 8th SEPTEMBER.
You will need to keep the morning and afternoon free on this day.

FINAL REHEARSAL:
All students performing will be required to attend a Compulsory Final Rehearsal on
Monday 2ND SEPTEMBER @ Seymour Theatre.

Farah Shah
Farah Shah has trained full-time professional dancers in a Certificate IV in Performing Arts (Dance) in Jazz and Hip hop as well as Bollywood. She has Choreographed for : So You Think You Can Dance , Dancing with the Stars India, The Australian MTV Awards, Recipes to Riches, Sony India TV commercials, Uncle Ben TV commercials, and 15 years of Corporate events.
Her Bollywood classes have been featured on : Sydney Getaway, Sydney Weekender, Australian Idol, SBS Bollywood Star, New Idea, Saturday Disney, The Kerry-Anne show, The Today show, Ch7 News and more....
Pre-requisites:
Students must have completed 3-4 Beginner Level Courses and be assessed by Farah Shah.
Students who have not completed 3-4 Mango Dance Beginners courses, must be assessed by Farah Shah in order to be able to enrol for this course. Please email admin@mangodance.com.au to arrange your assessment.
Course Requirements:
Students will be required to purchase 2 costumes per year.
Performance:
Students from this course will have the opportunity perform in events such as Mango shows, Holi Festival, Mind Body Spirit Festival, Miss Bollywood Australia, India Australia Friendship Fair, Parramasala, Flash mobs for TV and charity and more...Students from this course may be invited to audition for our Professional Dance Company BOLLYWOOD SPICE www.bollywoodspice.com.au.
What to wear:
Gym gear (something you can stretch and sweat in), leggings or dance pants are suitable, bare feet or jazz shoes, bellydance belts, bhindi's & bangles !!

Payment must be made prior to attending.

Please make sure you seek approval from your Doctor or medical professional prior to commencing classes. Please bring a letter stating you are fit to undertake the class given your condition, to the instructor.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
