Boishakhi Mela 2024 ( Sydney people used to call Sydney Olympic Park Boishakhi Mela) is an exciting event that celebrates the Bengali New Year.

BCA has been organizing Boishakhi Mela, the Bengali New Year Festival for last 28 years let alone in Sydney Olympic Park for 15 years. Australia’s home ground ANZ's hosted this only community event organized by BCA.

The entire community is thrilled to celebrate this festival again this year on its 29th year.

The event will take place on Sunday, 12 May 2024 at Fairfield Showground ,443 Smithfield Road, Prairiewood, NSW 2176. Come and enjoy a day filled with cultural performances, delicious food, and fun activities for the whole family. The event starts at 1:00 PM and will continue throughout the day. Don't miss out on the chance to experience the vibrant culture of Bangladesh and celebrate the New Year with friends and family. The famous Band from Bangladesh "দলছুট" Featuring Bappa Mazumder will perform for you all. We can't wait to see you there!

BCA has been organising Boishakhi Mela, the Bengali New Year Festival for last 27 years let alone in Sydney Olympic Park for 15 years. Australia’s home ground ANZS hosted this only community event organised by BCA.

This iconic festival had to be postponed for 3 consecutive years, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Coming back in 2023, the Mela had a big success with the thrilled entire community to celebrate this festival. The Famous Bangladesh Band " Miles" Performed there. In 2024, another big shout from BCA, presenting the melodious band " dalchut" in the same ground

With its transcending appeal, the event has now become an annual celebration of thousands of Bengali-speaking people in Australia.

The festival witnesses a footfall of tens of thousands of attendees.
