Bit Sketchi Bendigo - Central Deborah
Join me for the fourth of five Bit Sketchi Bendigo events to sketch iconic Bendigo tourist attraction, Central Deborah Goldmine and a Tram.
Bit Sketchy Bendigo - Central Deborah
Join us for a fun-filled session of sketching while we gather togehter in the Civic Gardens (near the Town Hall) to sketch an iconic Bendigo tourist attraction, Central Deborah Goldmine and a tram.
This is the fourth of five events, where we will let our creativity flow as we draw and paint quick, quirky and colourful sketches of local Bendigo buildings and iconic landmarks.
These events are for any skill level, and it’s certainly not a serious class! Don’t worry if you haven’t sketched before, this could be the perfect opportunity to try! This is about learning how to sketch quickly with character and applying a wash of colour to bring your sketch to life. Serious sketchers are, of course, also very welcome!
We will meet at the Civic Gardens under the shade of the big tree, You will be provided with all necessary materials and I will demonstrate a large scale sketch of what you will draw on a smaller scale yourself. Due to the heat, it is difficult to find a shady spot to sketch, so on the day, we will be sketching from a printed image, or you can sketch something from your surroundings.
All you need to bring is:
- A fold up chair, or rug to sit on
- Perhaps a hat and sunscreen
- Your own water bottle and snacks!
As a special bonus, you will also have an opportunity to exhibit your sketch in an exhibition to be held in April 2026.
About Kim Lowe, 2inspire
Hey everyone! I’m Kim Lowe of 2inspire and I am passionate about bringing people together through art for happier, healthier communities. I am an artist with a studio in Valentine’s Antiques Gallery and I also run two Art for Wellbeing classes each Monday in Kangaroo Flat.
My other passion is sketching historic buildings and iconic landmarks, particularly in Central Victoria. No line is straight, buildings are a little quirky, a Bit Sketchi and full of character.
I can’t wait to share my love of sketching with you and build up a Bit Sketchi community to meet regularly even after these five events have finished.
If you have any questions, please contact me via my 2inspire messenger or email Kim@2-inspire.com.au. More info in my website:
