Join us for a hands‑on nature adventure as we explore the incredible biodiversity right outside our doors. Whether you're a budding naturalist, a curious family, or someone who simply loves the outdoors, this BioBlitz is your chance to dive into the living world around you.

Over the course of the morning, we’ll break into small groups each led by an expert in plants, insects, or birds. Together, we’ll wander through the Silcock Street Reserve, sharpen our observation skills, and learn how to identify the species that call this place home.

Every sighting we make will be recorded on iNaturalist, contributing valuable data to global conservation efforts. It’s citizen science in action: fun, collaborative, and surprisingly addictive.

What to expect

• Guided walks with botanists, entomologists, and bird enthusiasts

• Tips on spotting, identifying, and photographing wildlife

• A friendly, inclusive atmosphere for all ages and experience levels

• Real‑world contribution to biodiversity research through iNaturalist

Come ready to explore, learn, and be amazed by the hidden life all around us. Nature is full of surprises - let’s go find them together
