BioBlitz at Warriparinga - FREE family event
Join in the fun at this free family event and discover the life of Warriparinga! The event basecamp will be at the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre - enter off Warriparinga Way, Bedford Park (just off Sturt Rd). There will be organised walks, talks and kids activities. You will be able to observe, record and learn about the local flora and fauna. Or you can just drop by, there will be wildlife on display and plenty to do.
What will happen at the BioBlitz?
Discover Warriparinga with our experts. You might find a Kingfisher, Kangaroo Apples, or a Chocolate Wattled Bat!
Saturday October 29th - 9.00am - 9.45pm: Come for as long as you can to see wildlife on display, join flora and fauna searches, go spotlighting, attend a Nature Play SA session, create some Nature Art, write some Nature Poetry, or attend the Aboriginal Astronomy presentation.

There are a number of ways you can participate. You can just come along… we'll have wildlife on display. Or register to join a scheduled activity... click the "register" button near the top of this webpage to see all of the individual sessions you can attend. Come for an hour or stay the day!
Plan your own experience!
Look through the list of sessions and register for the ones you would like to attend (making sure the sessions don't overlap). On the day, please make sure you arrive at least 20-minutes before your first activity, to sign-in. Please note: when you sign-in you need to agree to our terms of participation. Head to the BioBlitz Basecamp in the main entrance: enter from Warriparinga Way, Bedford Park. There is plenty of parking available, but please consider carpooling, walking, riding, or catching a bus to the event. Bus Stop 29 (south side) on Sturt Road is about a 6 minute walk from the Basecamp.
