Bila Community Group's Cooking Class is a small group of 3-4 participants working together to create healthy and easily re-creatable dishes. Our aim is to get you excited about trying new food, increase your capacity in the kitchen, and to provide you with an opportunity to meet new people!
Who can join? This class is specifically for NDIS participants- all abilities and ages are welcome! 'Purchasing' a ticket is an Expression of Interest only and does not guarantee your enrollment. We will contact you to assess your eligibility and the address will be provided.
How much does it cost? This class is charged through your NDIS plan. We charge $39.10 per hour from your Core funding, and there is no out-of-pocket expense. We recommend speaking to your Support Coordinator to assess your funding.
What’s included? All ingredients and utensils provided. Includes making a recipe from scratch, followed by enjoying a meal together. Participants will be able to take their leftover portions home to enjoy later.
How is it facilitated? Our program in designed and led by our Group Facillitator, and trained chef, Alphonso. Participants may attend alone or with their own Support Worker/companion.
What should you wear? Closed in shoes are essential.
Any other relevant information: Please notify us of any food allergies/intolerances. Your enrollment is not confirmed until Bila Community Group has contacted your directly to sign a Service Agreement.
