Better Bodies At Work - Dental Edition
Learn how to keep your body happy throughout your work day at this movement-based workshop with a focus on wrist, shoulder, and spine health
Musculoskeletal pain is one of the most common occupational challenges in dentistry, with up to 90% of dental professionals reporting work-related discomfort affecting the neck, back, shoulders, and wrists.
This workshop focuses on movement-based prevention, highlighting the role of targeted strengthening and stretching exercises in supporting posture, reducing fatigue, and improving comfort throughout the clinical day.
Participants will learn simple, evidence-informed exercises designed to counteract static postures, repetitive tasks, and muscle imbalances common in dental practice. Emphasis is placed on practical routines that can be performed before work, between patients, and after clinical sessions, helping dental professionals build physical resilience and sustain long, pain-free careers.
Designed for the entire dental team, this workshop provides 2 CPD hours for participants, and will be held at the Movement Improvement Clinic in Waratah, NSW.
There will be a recorded presentation to compliment the movement workshop which will discuss evidence-based ergonomics in the dental setting.
