Louise Milligan, an acclaimed investigative journalist for ABC TV's Four Corners and bestselling author of two non-fiction books, has garnered numerous awards, including the Walkley Book Award and Davitt Awards. Her ground-breaking journalism on topics like historical institutional child abuse and women's experiences in the justice system has sparked inquiries and led to significant cultural and legal changes. Born in Ireland and raised in Australia, Louise now resides in Melbourne with her family, where she makes her debut as a novelist with Pheasants Nest.

Pheasants Nest is inspired by the author's frequent drives through the Southern Highlands, and the real-life sinister history of Pheasants Nest Bridge.

Louise Milligan is one of Australia’s most experienced and awarded journalists. While working for the 7.30 program her exclusive stories investigated the allegations against George Pell.
