Fresh off the back of Brisbane City Council’s QUBE Effect program, five of these rising stars will be performing at BEMAC LIVE 2020!

BEMAC are thrilled to present - Bashir Ali Jibril, Ally Rendall, Bianca Power, Ozi Jarel, and Saraima Navara for one night only!

Grab your tickets for this spectacular and diverse live show, supporting some of our local and vibrant emerging musicians, on Friday 20 November at the Queensland Multicultural Centre. But hurry! Tickets and seating is limited (due to COVID restrictions).

ALLY RENDALL

16 year old pop singer/songwriter Ally Rendall has been singing and playing music since she was 7 years old. Ally began writing her own music in 2016 and released her first original song ‘Who Will Love U’ in 2019.

BASHIR ALI JIBRIL

Bashir Ali Jibril is a solo rapper based in Brisbane, Queensland. A proud Bantu, Bashir often interweaves his native tongue throughout his works, pushing narratives of hope and motivation with undeniable conviction and presence.

BIANCA POWER

Smooth vocals are the focus of Bianca's music, combined with ambient textures and RnB grooves. Lyrics are often vulnerable yet bold, with the aim of uplifting, inspiring and entertaining. Her debut is single 'Blood On Your Shoes'.

OZI JAREL

Ozi Jarel is a Ugandan and Sudanese rapper and poet who is inspired by his upbringing in an ethnically diverse community. He is unique in the way he flawlessly uses rhythm and intricate word-play to explore the stories of his ancestors.

SARAIMA NAVARA

Brisbane based singer-songwriter Saraima Navara has been performing on stage for more than eight years. Singing with Emily Wurramara, Verandah ChiX and George Telek, Saraima lends a unique and soulful sound to the artists she collaborates with, in addition to playing guitar and hand percussion.

What are my parking options for getting to and from the event?

  • Free parking is conveniently located at the venue for up to 56 cars.
  • Brisbane City Council pay and display parking is also available on Main Street and surrounding streets.
  • The street parking is free after 5pm on weekdays and all weekend.

What are my transport options for getting to and from the event?

  • Public Transport From CBD:
  • By Bus: Catch bus 232 at Edward Street Stop 142 (near Queen Street) to Main Street at Story Bridge East, Stop 6.
  • By Ferry: Catch a free ferry from Eagle Street Pier Ferry Terminal to Holman Street Ferry Terminal. Walk 307m to 102 Main St, Kangaroo Point. Ferry leaves every 15 minutes.

Does the venue have a COVID-safe plan in place?

The Queensland Multicultural Centre (QMC) is committed to ensuring a safe environment for both our workers and guests/patrons. Under the direction of the Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works, we have taken extra precautionary measures to help mitigate the spread of the virus, and are therefore limiting numbers on patron capacity, and seating arrangements at all events.

QMC will be operating in compliance with an Industry COVID SAFE plan for Live Performance Venues/Theatres. Our venue’s operations will continue to be conducted in accordance with the current government guidelines. We will continuously review our operations and procedures based on the government restrictions and circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
