FAQs
Will this certify me to teach Pilates if I’ve never done a Pilates certification before?
No. While you will leave this immersive training with a solid understanding of Pilates principles, cues and techniques, this is not a comprehensive Pilates mat certification. It took Nikki 6 months to get her initial Pilates mat certification, followed by a lengthy apprenticeship of practice teaching hours. 3 days is not nearly enough time to become a properly certified Pilates teacher. This training is meant for existing Pilates, Yoga, or Fitness Trainers or health professionals who want to build on their knowledge and learn more about how to serve pregnant and postpartum clients with deepened pelvic floor knowledge.
Important Note on Certification This immersive training is not a certification to become a “Belle Method Instructor.” However, you are encouraged to share and promote that you have completed continuing education with The Belle Method.
***In the future, we may introduce a comprehensive Belle Method Certification Program. That program would span several months, include extensive coursework, and require a formal assessment to pass.
This training is designed to give you practical pelvic health tools that you can integrate into your existing classes and professional practice with clients or patients. Attending this training also gives you advanced standing should we launch the full Belle Method Certification in the future.
What prerequisites do I need to attend?
None, however, while this training is open to everyone, it is geared for existing movement teachers and body workers who want to better serve their pregnant and postpartum clients/students.
I’ve never taught classes or clients before. Can I come just to learn for myself?
Yes you can! Get ready to nerd out on anatomy! You will learn a lot for your own practice.
I am pregnant/postpartum. Can I attend?
Yes absolutely.
