Wednesday, Mar 11 from 10 am to 12 pm ACDT
Overview

Free parent discussion group with Mark Le Messurier about how we can best support kids to develop healthy online and tech device habits.

What a brave new world you face as parents!

You are the first generation to parent children growing up with technology purpose built to be absolutely irresistible. Given that the "on/off switches" in kids' brains are not fully developed until they reach their mid to late twenties, it's no wonder the lure of screens creates a 'perfect storm' in so many homes and classrooms, globally.

Join me in learning about methods you can use at home to help your children gain greater awareness of the pitfalls and dangers linked to various online activities. The goal is to maintain a buoyant and connected relationships with your kids so you can live and play safely alongside one another.

Yes, limits on screens are necessary, but the goal and method must be about helping children to learn, to gain knowledge and become better at managing ‘time’. Hindsight tells us that our complaining and yelling, are worthless tools, because what we face is the biggest psychological and social fascination the world has ever seen.
