This two-day training event will provide training in how to utilise the ACRRE Behavioural Risk Assessment Tool which includes:
- Vulnerability risk assessment.
- Behavioural risk assessment matrix.
- Checklist for mitigating and managing behaviour risk.
- Behavioural risk assessment outcome document.
- Guidelines for reducing the use of restrictive practices.
The training will provide the opportunity for delegates to understand the theory underpinning the use of the tool, and practice using the tool in a safe learning environment. It will cover:
The foundations of behavioural risk assessment.
- Understanding of organisational risk management.
- What can go wrong with behavioural risk assessment.
- Elements of behavioural risk, personal vulnerability factors and nature of behavioural risk.
- Principles for good practice, interventions and strategies.
- Principles & practice of behavioural risk assessment.
- Principles for reducing and eliminating restrictive practices, contextual to behavioural risk assessment.
