Before and after: Canva photo colourisation workshop

Chatswood LibraryChatswood, NSW
Tuesday, Mar 17 from 3 pm to 5 pm AEDT
Overview

Use Canva and other online tools to bring new life to your old black and white photos by reimagining them in colour.

If you have treasured black and white photos tucked away in albums or boxes, bring them to life and learn how to colourise them using simple, online tools, including Canva.

In this fun, hands-on workshop, you’ll be guiding through the process of digitally colourising old photos to make faces, clothing, and scenery look vibrant and real again.

No prior experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and a few of your favourite old photos saved on a USB. These make lovely gifts or greeting cards, or save them for your own files.

You will need to bring with you:

  • Your laptop and charger - we encourage you to bring your device fully charged (or borrow one from the library during the workshop, please note that these are limited).
  • The photographs you would like to use saved on a USB stick or saved on your laptop if you are bringing your own device.
  • Your Canva account details. Canva is free and can be set up at www.canva.com with your email address.

Please note: If you require assistance in setting up a Canva account, you are welcome to arrive at 2:30pm (30 minutes prior to the workshop) so library staff can assist you with this.
