Sandy Ullrich has been an urban beekeeper for 10 years and is the founder of Adelaide Bee Sanctuary which raises awareness of the vital role that bees play in our eco-system and food security, and promotes the co-habitation of people and bees in the urban environment.
Adelaide Bee Sanctuary beehives are located in, and around the city of Adelaide which provides a diverse range of nectar and pollen sources. All the bees at Adelaide Bee Sanctuary are rescued and are sponsored by local government, businesses, orchardists and the backyard bee enthusiast.
