Can I bring a child over 24 months?

The sensory space in this program is recommended and tailored for children under the age of 18 months. If you do have an older child coming along, please let us know by emailing bookings@sea.museum so we can adjust the setup of the sensory area to ensure safe and enjoyable play for all.

Getting to the Museum

A range of transport options are available, and convenient $15 all day parking at Harbourside Wilson Parking when you validate your parking voucher at the museum. More information on getting to the museum can be found here: https://www.sea.museum/en/visit

Where are the baby change rooms at the museum?

There are 3 baby change areas at FOH, the lower galleries, and action stations. The main parent's room in the lower galleries includes accessible bathrooms, change area, microwave for heating bottles and food, a breastfeeding area and a tactile play wall for earlylearners. Your host can direct you.

Relax by shimmering ocean projections and sand-free soft castles in this sensory play experience for 0-24 months and their parents/carers.

On selected Wednesdays and Fridays in January, our summer interactive exhibition The beach is open extra early just for our young visitors 0-24 months and their parents and carers to enjoy a bespoke sensory play experience.

Sip a beverage of your choice from ripples cafe as you lounge with your bub beside immersive large-scale light projections. There’s adult-friendly conversations to enjoy as you view collection displays of vintage swimwear and surf culture, as well as baby sensory play time featuring a range of tactile beach-inspired experiences, from bubbles to balance stones, inflatables to musical instruments, interactive rock pool animations, intertidal animal puppets and beach library stories inside our exhibition area.

9am – 10:30am *

*Exclusive access just for bubs 9am – 10am. Quiet time 10am – 10:30am for general public

Ticketing:

$26 adult, $18 member adult, babies free

Admission includes a beverage and all-day access to our indoor exhibitions.
