Chobe National Park is Botswana's first national park, and also the most biologically diverse, home to over 2500 species of plants and over 650 species of trees. With its unparalleled wildlife encounters, peaceful boat safaris, rich birdlife, accessible cultural experiences, and luxurious lodges, Chobe offers far more than just a typical safari!

Located only 90 minutes drive from the UNESCO listed Victoria Falls which straddles both Zambia and Zimbabwe, Mosi-oa-Tunya is the world’s greatest sheet of falling water and the beginning and end point of our adventure. Beginning our adventure with Yoga by the Zambezi River and an opportunity to experience this natural wonder.

Botswana is one of the most stable countries in Africa and on the top 10 safest countries to visit in the world. Botswana is consistently ranked as one of the safest countries in Africa. It sits landlocked in the middle of Southern Africa, sandwiched between Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe and provides an ideal basecamp for advenurous yogis to explore the diversity and majesty of the African bush and Kalahari Desert.

Chobe National Park boasts massive herds of elephants, estimated to be around 50,000 and the largest wildilfe concentration by area in Africa. Across the four ecosystems of the park there are large concentrations of lion prides, African Leopard, African Wild Dog, Antelope, Impala, Zebra, Wildebeest, Hippopotamus, and over 500 species of birds.

Home of the San Bushmen, Botswana has been considered as an important the birthplace of modern humans with evidence of habitation including stone tools and animal remains indicating that all areas of the country were inhabited at least 400,000 years ago.

Connecting with local communities to experience life as they do are part of the trip itinerary.

Imagine waking up with sunrise yoga with the sound of lions roarding in the distance! After a hearty breakfast heading out on a guided Safari into the wilds of one of the world's most renown wildlife conservation zones and experiencing elephants, lions, cheetas, rhino, leopards and hyena before returning to the lodge for a relaxing evening Yoga practice and another delicious meal!

Hosted by Yoga teacher and Wildlife biologist Ramone Bisset and photographer and fitness trainer Luke Ardern , this trip is for adventurous yogis who are eager to explore and ready to immerse in and reconnect with the wild!

Itinerary

August 8:

o Arrival and transfer from Victoria Falls Airport (VFA), to lodge

o Visit of Victoria Falls market (with e-bikes or transfer vehicle)

o Lunch & Dinner at lodge included

August 9:

o Sunrise Yoga beside Zambezi River

o Visit of Victoria Falls Rainforest (park fees and transfers included)

o Breakfast, lunch and dinner at lodge included

August 10:

o Breakfast at lodge

o Transfer to Kasane, Botswana

o Boat cruise & game drive in Chobe National Park before transfer to Munga Plains (packed lunch on the boat)

o Dinner at Munga Plains

August 10 – August 14: Accommodation, activities and all meals at Munga Plains including (selection dependent on weather conditions):

o Daily Yoga and Fitness Activities

o Walking safari & sundowner

o Day and Night Game Drives in Chobe National Park

o Cultural village tour, including cultural workshops (one of: Basket Weaving, Music/Drumming, Bush Fauna, Survival and Medicine Talk, Cooking Class, Dance Workshop)

o Traditional dance and Boma dinner

o Traditional Mokoro canoe ride

o Horseback riding safari

August 15:

Light breakfast and transfer to Victoria Falls airport. Or extend your adventure with a 3-6 day mobile safari extension departing from Munga Plains.
