Are you a foodie? Do you love making a home-cooked meal for your family or friends?
We are calling all local cooks and food-lovers to join us for a community potluck event.
Join the Baysie Rollers at The Laneway Artspace to show off your culinary skills. Bring along your favourite home-cooked meal to share with fellow Bayswater foodies and swap recipes.
Whether you're a master chef or just starting out in the kitchen, everyone is welcome.
Gather with your local community, share food close to your heart and the stories around it, and sample cuisines from kitchens across the neighbourhood.
Plus - be part of history and add your recipe to Baysie’s first community cookbook! We’ll be collating the recipes from the food shared on the night for a very special cookbook, to be published later this year.
Invite your neighbours - this event is open to the whole community, and we want to see (and taste!) as many foods and flavours as possible! Email secretary@baysierollers.com if you’d like some flyers to pass onto those in your street.
Frequently asked questions
Bring along some of your favourite home-cooked meal; enough to share a small portion with 15-20 people, and serving utensils. Please also bring a print-out of your recipe, and a print-out of the story of why this dish is important to you/your family for inclusion in our community cookbook!
We'll provide plates, bowls and utensils so you can sample all the delicious cuisines on offer.
The Laneway Artspace has limited kitchen facilities, and no oven. Please ensure all food preparation is done offsite, ahead of the event. If you need a food warmer or similar to present your meal at the event, please email secretary@baysierollers.com and we will endeavor to meet your requirements.
Yes, however we cannot guarantee specific dietary requests will be accommodated. We recommend chatting to the cooks about the meals' preparation and ingredients if you have allergies or other concerns. Baysie Rollers are not liable for any issues that arise as a result of consuming food at the event
This is a family-friendly event, so people of all ages are welcome! However please leave your furry or feathered friends at home, as this is a food service event.
Registration is only required for the person bringing the food.
