Bayside Library Chinese Calligraphy Group

Chinese Calligraphy involves focused concentration, self-awareness, and skilled hand coordination. The slow, rhythmic movements of Chinese Calligraphy help to calm the mind, while the attention needed for each brushstroke encourages mindfulness.

Come along and learn Chinese characters, while developing your skills in using brush and ink to create Chinese words in various scripts.

The Chinese Calligraphy class is designed for people aged 16 and over with good fine motor skills, and is limited to Bayside Library members.

All skill levels in Chinese calligraphy are welcome.

All materials provided. You are welcome to bring your favourite brush and ink.

Please arrive on time so that you will not miss out the steps in Chinese calligraphy writing.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your booking will be automatically cancelled and your ticket will be given to someone in the queue.
