The BATHURST Mental Health Expo organised by CatholicCare Wilcannia-Forbes BATHURST Branch will feature opportunity to meet with local organisations working with adults and young people in the Bathurst and surrounding areas. Organisations are invited to have stalls to engage with the community. Community members, schools, parents, carers, students, are encouraged to attend, meet with services, and gather information. The event will host a special guest talk by SAM WEBB, starting from 1.30pm.
CatholicCare Wilcannia-Forbes has established the Family Mental Health Support Service to assist children and young people between the ages of 0-18 years who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of, developing mental health issues and their families.

Family Mental Health Support Service - FMHSS
CatholicCare Wilcannia-Forbes was established in 1996 and is the official welfare service of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Wilcannia-Forbes, which covers more than 52% of the State. It provides a diverse range of support programs and outreach services to individuals, families and communities across Western New South Wales.
Members of the Family Mental Health Support team are situated in a number of locations covering Bathurst, Oberon, Lithgow, Portland, Wallerawang, Mudgee, Orange, Blayney, Molong, Forbes, Parkes, Wilcannia, Broken Hill, White Cliffs and Menindee.
The Service has been established to fill an identified need for the provision of early intervention and support to vulnerable children and young people who are at risk of or showing early signs of, mental health issues.
The aim of the program is to assist its participants to improve their mental, social and emotional health and wellbeing and better manage the various aspects of their lives, enabling them to better participate in their communities and reach their full potential. This will be achieved by providing a range of flexible, responsive, culturally sensitive, free, integrated and non-clinical mental health support services including:
• Intensive, long-term, early intervention support for children, young people and their families for a period of 6-12 months;
• Short-term immediate assistance and/or referrals to other services;
• Practical assistance and home-based support for children, young people and their families;
• Advocacy;
• Targeted, therapeutic groups for children, young people and their families; and
• The delivery of mental health education and community development activities to increase the community’s knowledge and understanding of mental health issues faced by children and young people and its capacity to support their wellbeing.

The core of their mission is to end the stigma around mental health through apparel, community and education. Sam is passionate about helping people and organizations understand the importance of wellness and vulnerability. As a leader of a not-for-profit organisation, he brings the perfect balance of an energizing performance blended with real-world experience and credibility. He not only inspires, but moves audiences to action by offering practical and effective approaches to living a positive life. Sam has also appeared on Home & Away and the reality TV show Australian Survivor. A graduate of Sydney's drama school, Screenwise, Sam now lives in Hollywood where he dedicates much of his time to working on his craft.
