Yes, attendance at the symposium is free but tickets will still need to be booked to give us an idea of numbers.

Will transport to Batchelor be provided?

We are currently looking at hiring a bus/buses to transport people to Batchelor from Darwin and various other stops along the way. If you have booked and wish to access this free bus service, please email above contacts.

Is catering provided?

Accepted Answer

The event will be catered for morning/afternoon teas and lunch which is why booking numbers are needed in advance. Catering will be provided free of charge.

Do I need to attend the whole symposium?

No, visitors are welcome to attend to hear individual presentations or a full day or the full two days. If you book in and plan to attend part of the symposium rather than the full two days, please let us know via the contact emails above to help with our planning.

Do I need to be an academic to attend?

Accepted Answer

No, the symposium is open to all who wish to celebrate the Institute's 50th anniversary milestone, and who wish to hear and learn from the participating speakers. The final list of speakers will be added to this site in due course.
