Barista Job Connect - Café Training - February 2026

Get job-ready with this 2-day hands-on training and cafe tour designed for students who wanting to break into WA’s thriving café industry!

This intensive, beginner-friendly training gives you the skills and confidence to work in fast-paced hospitality roles. By the end of this training, you'll be equipped with everything you need to impress café employers and step behind the machine with confidence.

Over 2 days of practical training, you’ll learn to:

• Pull consistent espresso shots
• Steam and pour milk for lattes, flat whites & more
• Understand the Australian café menu
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Work efficiently in a simulated coffee service environment
• Receive expert feedback from barista trainers
• Interactive cafes tour with different coffee menu around Northbridge and to observe the workflow and their unique culture

Day 1: Espresso & Milk Fundamentals

Day 2: Café Workflow & Simulated Practice + Café Tour(Participants will be split into two groups on Day 2)

📌Full attendance for both days is a mandatory.

Cost: $15pp, plus booking fee. Please note if you cancel your ticket, booking fee is non-refundable.

This training program is brought to you by Tourism Western Australia and is being delivered on their behalf by the Australian Hotels Association WA (AHA WA).

Certificates of Participation are issued electronically within 7 days of course completion. Students must successfully complete all components of the course to receive their certificate.
