About this event

“If you are serious about getting a job as a barista then you must do a Nationally Recognised barista course. Our 5-hour barista course includes 2 hours of coffee art and results in a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment bearing the units of competency SITHFAB005 Prepare and serve espresso coffee and SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety (issued by CBD College, RTO# 91399)”.

We teach you how to use a coffee machine from scratch. With no prior experience, you will leave knowing how to: * Froth milk * Make espresso * Make all of the coffees that you would find in a café * Clean and maintain the coffee machine. Add our 2 hour coffee art class and you will not only get a nationally accredited certificate but you will also learn: * How to froth milk more effectively * Etching techniques * Fudge art techniques * Free Pouring techniques

Student Status - Eligibility: You MUST be a currently enrolled Griffith University Undergraduate, Postgraduate or GELI (Griffith English Language Institute) student at a Brisbane, Logan or Digital Campus to register (Gold Coast Students are not eligible to attend this event). Your student status will be verified prior to the event. A valid Griffith University Student ID card (or proof of student status) MUST be shown on arrival at the event. By attending this event you consent to being included in any photographs / videos taken by the event photographer / videographer which may be used in publications and for promotional purposes, unless you inform the event organisers or the photographer / videographer otherwise.
