Barista Basics Training
Overview

Barista Training provides you with the basic skills and confidence to work in a cafe or hospitality environment!

Give yourself a competitive edge when on the hunt for a hospitality job!


The Barista Training Course will provide you with the basic skills and knowledge required to make delicious espresso coffees in a café environment.

You will have the opportunity to learn how to make a variety of coffees with a commercial espresso machine from a experienced barista. Coffees that the course covers include: cappuccino, café latte, flat white and iced beverages.

In the 2 hour course, you will learn:

  • How to make a good espresso coffee
  • How to texture milk
  • Common hospitality and customer service practices
  • How to create and serve a professional standard beverage


The course includes:

  • 2 Hour Barista Training Workshop with an experienced Barista
  • Certificate of completion by the Student Guild Griffith Univerisity to attach to future job applications


Please note that the course will not give you an official qualification - instead, it will provide you with practical training from an experienced barista and a certificate of completion that will list your new skills to show to future employers.

Tickets can only be purchased by a student with a current Griffith University Student ID card.

Tickets are non-refundable 48 hours prior to the event.
