About this event

BOOK AN EXPERIENCE!

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make personalised jewellery with your own two hands? Book in for one of our classes to create and take home your very own set of sterling silver jewellery.

Our Master Jeweller, Chris Ballintyne, has over 35 years experience in the industry and is now offering small guided classes (max. 16 students per class), from our cosy Jewellery studio setting located in the heart of Frankston above Spec Savers.19A Thompson Street Frankston. By appointment only.

Explore the excitement as our passionate team guide you through learning new skills, such as hand sawing and hand filing, then moving on to bending and soldering sterling silver, followed by basic engraving. Pieces created to take home include a set of sterling silver pendant earrings and a basic sterling silver ring. Dependant on class sizes and/or if time permits, an optional to make and design a pendant may also be available.

For those who wish to pursue the art further, e.g. progression from silver smithing to gold smithing, we offer further in-depth training, including the opportunity to create your own gold wedding bands, diamond setting courses, and wax carvings for castings. More information available upon request.

Beginners classes are run every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9:30am-2:30pm.

All Beginners/Introductory classes open with a 10-minute Health and Safety presentation, and all classes include a 30-minute lunch break.

All bookings MUST be made 2 Days prior to class. Book now! Don't miss the deadline!

ACCESSIBILITY: Please note that our studio is unfortunately NOT wheelchair accessible. Access only via stairs. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment. It is also a requirement of the course for all attendees to possess full mobility and dexterity with their hands due to the safety aspects of working with sharp and hot objects.
