A hands-on Ayurvedic Cooking Workshop where you'll gain fundamental knowledge and create seasonal, fresh, local food for balance.

This interactive and engaging in-person cooking session will guide you through understanding, preparing, and eating a delicious, healthy, balanced meal based on Ayurvedic principles. An intimate experience and aligned with the seasons, learn about the energies and qualities of nature and how food affects you. Enjoy cooking a nourishing, balanced, satisfying meal as a group with staples such as dal, spiced rice, fritters, aromatic vegetables, stovetop bread, chutney, and dips.

In this full-day culinary workshop, you’ll learn to:

  • Plan and prepare meals with the qualities of Sattva (peace and clarity)
  • Develop meals with the principles of Ayurveda while creating a harmonious cooking environment.
  • Understand the role of prana in food
  • Create a tridoshic balanced meal and explore the optimal proportions of different types of foods
  • Use herbs and spices to bring healing and balance to meals
  • Manage your energy in the kitchen in relation to food and cooking
  • Take home a handbook with all the recipes and more

No experience necessary, everybody is welcome.

Flow and Food Yoga & Ayurveda classes are accessible and suitable for everyone. A chair and supportive props can be provided if you’d like to attend but cannot comfortably sit on the floor. Please let us know when you sign up by emailing studio@flowandfood.com.au

Please arrive in studio 15 minutes prior. Parking is available behind the building on the street or there are two small carparks close by in Lyneham within a short walking distance to the studio. It’s best to drop a pin at our address. When you approach the studio, we’re on the ground floor in unit 06. You’ll notice an A-frame sign out front and our large community table.
