AWS is hosting  an all-day event designed to help startups succeed in the new world powered by machine learning and artificial intelligence.

2020 is upon us.As we approach the new year and decade ahead, the adoption of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning provide an opportunity for startups to gain a unique advantage in their market and prevent being left behind. Startups must consider how they can leverage this opportunity to adopt, experiment and become familiar with Machine Learning and the vast growth potential it provides. But where should you start? How will and should your startup leverage and use this technology?To help founders in this area, the AWS Startup team is running the Machine Learning 2020 event and pitch competition (details below!) in Melbourne on the 13th of December.In this all-day free event designed for startup founders and teams, you will hear about the latest trends and strategies in machine learning and artificial intelligence by world-class thought leaders such as Allie Miller - AWS&#x27;s own US Head of AI for Startups and Forbes AI Innovator of the Year, and John Henderson General Partner at AirTree Venture about how VCs assess and think about investments in the space. Concepts will be brought to life through real-life stories from startups themselves on how they are leveraging and implementing these technologies to grow their business and enhance their customer experience. Beginners and experts alike will have something to learn!Tickets are limited for this event, so RSVP to avoid missing out!<h3>Pitch Competition:</h3>During the Machine Learning 2020 event, 4 selected startups will be provided with an opportunity to pitch their startup to our panel of judges with all finalists receiving:<ul><li>AWS Activate program benefits which includes up to $10K USD in AWS promotion credits, 1 year of Business Support including $5K USD of credits* </li></ul>The selected winner will be entitled to:<ul><li>A booth on the AWS Startup Central stand for one day during AWS Summit held in Sydney from the 31st of March 2020 till the 2nd of April 2020 including 2 general admission tickets for the overall summit event.</li><li>An &quot;Office Hours&quot; session with an AWS Solutions Architect providing a 1:1 technical consultation with an AWS Solutions Architect to go over your architecture, ask technical questions pertinent to your applications and infrastructure and get a briefing on the AWS product/technical roadmap.</li><li> AWS Activate program benefits which includes up to $25K USD in AWS promotion credits, 1 year of Business Support including $5K USD of credits* </li></ul>All applicants who submit an application will receive AWS Activate program benefits which includes up to $2K USD in AWS promotion credits, 3 months of Business Support and access to online training* *Note that startups who have previously received AWS Activate Credits may not be eligible to receive additional credit.
