Born in provincial France, Michel moved to Australia in 1979, initially as an international trade consultant. He then had a stint running a windsurfing school in the Whitsundays and worked at SBS TV in its early days. He was a voice-over artist, a translator, a conference interpreter and an investment banker. Michel’s eclectic background informs his writing, navigating the fine line between fact and fiction.
