Event description
Do you enjoy reading psychological thrillers? How about if they were set on the Mornington Peninsula?

About this event

Recommended for adult audiences.

Then you're invited to join us when Samantha Wood, a Sorrento-based author of psychological thrillers, visits the Rosebud Library.

Samantha began her writing career in a newsroom but quickly discovered that stories of suspense, danger, and love set against sparkling coastal backdrops were far more intriguing.

In 2019, she founded her own publishing company, Magpie Tree Press, so that she could tell uniquely Australian stories, and has gone on to publish a nonfiction book about Mexico, Culua: My Other Life in Mexico, a love letter to her mother’s country. Two novels have also been published, The Bay of Shadows, and Under Ten Thousand Stars, both set on the Mornington Peninsula. She also promises that her third novel, The Song of Clouds, will be finished any day soon!

Samantha will tell us tales about family - especially the bond between mothers and children, her love of nature that threads through each of her novels, the highs and lows of writing, and why readers are attracted to stories of triumph against the odds.

Free but Bookings Essential.

Note: If you can't make it on the day, please let us know, so that your tickets can be freed up for others to attend.
