Lifestyle Psychiatry Researchers Invited: Join the inaugural symposium to collaborate, connect, and advance research priorities in Australia

Join leading researchers advancing the field of lifestyle psychiatry at the inaugural Australian Lifestyle Psychiatry Symposium; a landmark event uniting researchers across all domains of lifestyle psychiatry to drive collaboration, set national research priorities, and spark innovation.
Program highlights include:
- Hands-on workshops to collaboratively develop actionable strategies, innovative projects, and competitive grant applications that advance our research priorities.
- Thought-provoking panel sessions featuring leading experts and lived experience voices to drive critical discussion on challenges and future directions in lifestyle psychiatry.
- Dynamic rapid-fire presentations to spotlight cutting-edge research, highlight overlapping interests, and spark new interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Our keynote plenary speaker, Prof Adrienne O'Neil, will present "Understanding the harms and benefits of lifestyle psychiatry: lessons from three clinical trials".

As part of the symposium, you’ll have the unique opportunity to participate in a research priority-setting project (Deakin University HREC Project ID: 2025/HE001221), which will inform a coordinated national research agenda publication. Registration includes afternoon tea on Day 1, and morning tea and lunch on Day 2. Canapés and drinks will be provided at the Welcome Reception, and Deakin Downtown offers coffee stations throughout both days.
