EXHIBITOR & BUYER INFORMATION

The AFTA Tackle Show is back in 2024, giving wholesalers and retailers the chance to connect with each other outside of the shop environment. In two fabulous days on the Gold Coast, you can meet with representatives of your suppliers, both old and new. Check out all the new products, and perhaps some you have forgotten about, all the brands under one roof in just one easily accessible location.

The Gala Dinner and Awards function will be held on Friday, August 16. This event will allow the trade to come together in an even more relaxed setting. It's sure to be a great night! The time allowed for formalities will be down, and the networking time will be up!

Saturday August 17 will see the doors to the public.

Thursday: 8.30am - 6.00pm | Friday: 8.30am - 5.00pm | Saturday: 9.00am - 3.00pm


WHO CAN ATTEND THE 2024 AFTA TACKLE SHOW?

The Australian Fishing Trade Association (AFTA) Tackle Show is open only to AFTA members and their invited guests on trade days: Thursday, August 15 and Friday, August 16. All pre-registered visitors are welcome to attend on Saturday, August 17, when we open the doors to the public!

AFTA Members, your tackle show entry fee is included with your 2024 membership. If you do not have the link to ensure your ticket is free of charge, please email admin@afta.net.au.

The Non-Member Price for all entry tickets is $150.

Badge Categories:

Buyer: Your primary business or interest is selling or distributing fishing goods and services to the public. If you are not an AFTA member and wish to attend the show in a buying capacity, you must provide evidence of an invitation from an AFTA member and/or exhibitor.

Media: Your primary business or interest is selling or distributing fishing media and services to the public

Exhibitor: You have an exhibition space at the show. This category is for your Australian-based employees or sales agents.

Government: You are a Government employee.

International Guest - Supplier: You have staff on your stand attending the show from an overseas parent company or supplier.

International Guest - Buyer: Your primary business or interest is selling or distributing fishing goods and services to the public outside of Australia. Before purchasing an International buyer badge, retailers must email their business card to admin@afta.net.au with evidence of an invitation from an AFTA member and/or exhibitor.

Brand Ambassador: You have Pro Staff or Sponsored Anglers supporting your stand.

Non-Exhibiting Wholesaler: You are a wholesale AFTA member and have never exhibited at the show. We allow you to attend on trade days once to decide if you wish to display in the future. Any wholesaler on this badge seen conducting business at the show will have their badge destroyed and be asked to leave the venue.

Trade Days: Thursday and Friday: If you fall under any other category, please email AFTA at admin@afta.net.au explaining why you must attend.

Public Day: Saturday: Anyone may attend, but you must pre-register, and capacity limits are in place.

Your registration for the Tackle Show confirms your consent to AFTA's Terms and Conditions of Entry. If you do not consent, please do not proceed with your registration.


PUBLIC DAY AT THE SHOW

Saturday, August 17, 2024.

The Australian Fishing Trade Association will open its doors to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During this time, recreational fishers can see, touch, and feel the new products and speak directly with company representatives.

Note that this is not a retail event, and exhibitors cannot sell directly to the public at the show. However, sample and/or promotional item giveaways are allowed.

TERMS and CONDITIONS of ENTRY

1. The Australian Fishing Trade Association (AFTA) Tackle Show is open only to AFTA members and their invited guests on Thursday and Friday. All attendees must be badged for the duration of the event.

2. Exhibitors and attendees must refrain from conduct that would be viewed as detrimental or disruptive to the operation of the show, including, but not limited to, inappropriate dress, excessive noise, unauthorised use of another exhibitor's product or product concepts or any other activity that AFTA determines to be unacceptable or unethical.

3. AFTA reserves the right to determine whether exhibitor staff's character and/or attire is acceptable and in keeping with the best interest of other attendees and/or the AFTA Tackle Show.

4. Orders may only be taken within exhibitor booths. Retail sales are prohibited during the show.

5. Exhibitors are not permitted to place promotional materials outside their stand unless they are included in an AFTA Tackle Show sponsorship arrangement.

6. Any attendee who is observed soliciting business in the aisles or other public spaces, in another company's booth, or violating any portion of AFTA's rules and regulations will be asked to leave immediately and forfeit his or her attendee badge. Additional penalties may be applied.

7. Photography and videography are not permitted on the show floor unless the AFTA Executive has given prior approval. All photography and videography must be in designated areas or within an exhibitor's booth (prior consent is required). Only media representatives authorised by the AFTA Executive will be permitted to film during the show.

8. Children under 16 are not permitted on the show floor during set up and dismantling. Proof of age is required. No exceptions.
