Animal Heath Australia, Invasive Species Council, Centre for Invasive Species Solutions and Plant Health Australia invite you to attend the Australian Biosecurity 2030 Workshop.

UPDATE: The Australian Biosecurity 2030 Workshop is sold out. There is a waitlist for tickets if they become available. If you have previously registered and are unable to attend, please let us know.

The workshop is being held from Wednesday 4 November and Thursday 5 November and is being held as a virtual workshop.

The workshop follows on from the hugely successful 2019 Australian Biosecurity Symposium and will continue to explore how to transform Australia’s biosecurity systems to better protect our economy, environment and way of life. The workshop will once again feature delegates from across the biosecurity collective - agriculture (animals and plants), humans, weeds, pest animals, wildlife, aquatics and the environment with a key focus on building the biosecurity mass movement.

It will be made up of four sessions;

1. What does a transformed biosecurity system look like?

2. How can we mainstream biosecurity?

3. How do we create a biosecurity mass movement?

4. How can we support our biosecurity champions?

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

How do I make a payment?

Once registration is received, a confirmation email and tax invoice will be issued. You will have the option to pay via Eventbrite with a credit card or from the invoice. All accounts must be paid in full 30 days from the invoice date or 30 days before the conference start date, whichever comes first.

The organisers reserve the right, without notification, to cancel outstanding accounts any time after 30 days from date of tax invoice being sent.

What's the refund policy?

A full-refund less a $20 service fee will be issued for cancellations received on, or before, 3 September 2020. Cancellations received between the 3 September and 4 October 2020 will receive a 50% refund on registration fees. Tickets will not be refunded after 4 October 2020, however can be transferred to a substitute delegate as mentioned above.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?

The Workshop Management Committee understand that unfortunately circumstances can change. While tickets are not eligible for a full-refund, they are transferable. Please email events@animalhealthaustralia.com.au with your booking details to nominate a substitute delegate at no extra charge. Changes will not be accepted after 27 October 2020. Non-payment does not constitute a registration cancellation.

Will there be photography and video taking place?

By registering, participants acknowledge and consent that during their attendance at the Workshop their image or voice may be recorded via video, photograph or by any other means (“recorded”), which may be distributed or published at the discretion of the organisers of the Australian Biosecurity 2030 Workshop. If you do not wish to be recorded, you are required to formally advise the organisers in advance by contacting events@animalhealthaustralia.com.au.

The Biosecurity 2030 Workshop Management Committee reserve the right to change activities, topics and presenters where necessary. “The organisers shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the Conference where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The term “Force Majeure” means any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organisers including but not limited to War, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operation, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, Acts or Regulations of government, refusal to grant visas, explosions, natural disasters, transport delays, transport difficulties and the insolvency of airline carriers. The organisers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct the Conference despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause.”
