Are you an early-mid career researcher with an interest in environmental disaster management, recovery and/or preparedness?

If you said yes! Join Partner Up Queensland for a breakfast networking event: Another day, another disaster: Driving new ways to improve resilience for a thriving environment on Fri May 17, 2024 at Queensland Museum Cobb+Co in Toowoomba, Australia.

As part of World Science Festival Queensland, you are invited to submit a 100-word abstract about your research, for your chance to present a three-minute pitch to an audience of industry professionals, government representatives, emergency service providers and disaster preparedness experts.

A panel of experts will evaluate the pitches, four emerging researchers will be chosen to pitch, and the winner will have the exclusive opportunity to enjoy a one-on-one lunch with our esteemed Chief Entrepreneur, Julia Spicer OAM, along with the potential to meet other senior leaders.

To participate in the pitch competition: Register your attendance via this eventbrite link, and submit a 100-word abstract about your research to: ddsw@partnerupqld.com

Researchers who have provided an abstract and are considered successful to present will be notified one week before the event.

Everyone is welcome to discuss ways of working together to introduce innovative approaches to disaster management by incorporating the latest research!

Tickets and breakfast are FREE - Register today!
