Description

'At Mekong, we drift down from Burma cloud country, trace the Lao border, wake up to Thai sunrises, pause by the Cambodian pagodas and wade through rice paddies in Vietnam. Each Indochine dish is an escapist wish and each share plate invites companions for the voyage.'

Award-winning Chef Tiw Rakarin (Best Asian Restaurant NSW 2017) is stepping out of the busy kitchens of Mekong Kensington Street and newly opened sister restaurant, Bistro Mekong at Castlecrag to share his very own recipes in this one-off class.

Recipes in these class combine beautifully balanced elements of Thai, Cambodian, Vietnamese and Indian Cuisines with a fresh modern twist

Upon completion, sit down with Tiw and a cold crisp Riesling and enjoy this wonderfully flavoursome meal.

Grilled Scallops with fresh coconut, bacon oil & yuzu chilli sauce

Soft Shell Crab Masala with egg, onion & tomato salsa

Patagonian Toothfish with Butternut Squash and Squid Ink Tuile

Caramel Banana Sago with coconut milk and roasted walnuts
