ASELL is hosting a full day workshop at John Paul Catholic College, Kalgoorlie. This is an opportunity for you and a student to participate in experiments throughout the day, and analyse them by completing questionnaires and surveys.
Teachers have an opportunity to submit their existing science investigations whether they are exemplary or require improvement.
Teachers receive feedback from both students and other teachers about their investigations.
Teachers reflect on and modify their investigations.
Following this, clusters of schools can select focus areas (e.g. literacy, problem-based learning) in which they can participate in sustained engagement with ASELL, advancing their professional practices through cycles of reflection, implementation and evaluation.
Morning tea and lunch are provided. ASELL will pay for relief teachers if this is required. Please arrive at 8:15 for registrations - workshop will start at 8:45. The day will end at 3.30pm for students and 4:00pm for teachers.
