Salon is Arts on Tour’s key annual industry event, a meeting place that builds relationships between NSW & ACT artists, producers and presenters. It is a small-scale, lo-fi pitching event that creates opportunities for regional touring and partnerships.
Artists and producers can submit an EOI to pitch their work to attendees at the half-day event, as well as have productions included in the Salon booklet, circulated to presenters to assist them in finding new work. Those selected will be given the opportunity to deliver a short pitch about their work, its creative vision, viability for touring and unique offering to regional audiences.
Alongside artists and producers, selected presenters will pitch their organisations: their programming aspirations and approach, their audiences, capacity and partnership opportunities.
Salon also includes a networking drinks function hosted with NAPACA (NSW & ACT's Performing Arts Centre Association) - where all attendees will have the opportunity to meet and discuss their work and programming.
T ickets to attend the event
Independent artists can attend Salon free-of-charge, but do need to book a ticket.
There is a $50 admission fee (+BF) for salaried arts workers to contribute to event costs.
