About this event

Welcome to Art with TA Crothers - Creative Workshops For All

Join me for a fun-filled day of creativity and inspiration on the farm. Whether you've dabbled a little or just starting out, my workshops cater to all skill levels. Get ready to unleash your inner artist and explore different mediums with my guidance.

For all of you who say "I can't draw", "I'm not creative" or "it's too late" this workshop is for you. We will banish the self-doubt and produce drawings and paintings that will surprise and delight you.

What you can expect on the day:

  • All art materials including canvases - you just need to show up!
  • Aprons - unless you'd like to bring your own
  • Reference materials and objects to inspire
  • Morning tea and lunch will be served (all dietary requirements can be catered for)
  • Airconditioned work area
  • Lots of fun, freedom and inspiration!

I also encourage you to bring along your own reference material/s on the day. It could be a personal photo, a favourite piece of clothing, an interiors magazine...anything! But don't worry I will have plenty on hand to inspire you as well.

Please arrive at 9.30am for a 10.00am start. 'Glencoe' is located on a dirt road so be careful driving out to us (Driftway Road is notorious for potholes).

Don't miss this opportunity to learn, create, and take home a piece of art, or two, or more, to share with your family and friends.

I look forward to meeting you and sharing my passion for art.

Terri-Ann

A little bit about me and my art...

My artwork is inspired by the beauty and essence of country life. My intuitive and colourful acrylic and mixed media paintings are informed by my surroundings – cattle, paddocks, rocky hillsides, big skies, the beauty in the everyday.

My painintgs are impressionistic, with joyful colour palettes depicting landscapes and still life scenes. Through my use of acrylics, oil stick and pencil I aim to create vibrant artworks that radiate with a sense of place and resonate with the viewer.

I studied Visual Arts in Melbourne, pursued a fashion retail management career and then went on to complete a degree in Communications working in Public Relations and Marketing Communications. I have an extensive art CV, exhibiting in many galleries, art shows and group exhibitions in Queensland and northern NSW, and have received several public and private commissions. I also initiated an annual Pop-Up space bringing together artists and artisans from the Goondiwindi region, and I have conducted several creative art workshops.

I live with my family on ‘Glencoe’, Fairholme, New South Wales (60km west of Forbes) – a farming and grazing property. With my family’s recent move to NSW I have been able to devote more time to my art practise and I am currently working on several artworks and commissions in my little paddock art studio.

Frequently asked questions

I'm a beginner, I've never painted before, is that okay?

Of course!! You're exactly the person that I encourage to come along to my workshops. No experience is required, just a desire to learn and an enthusiasm to create. It's about having fun without expectation!

What do I need to bring to the workshop?

Next to nothing! I will supply all art materials, refreshments, morning tea, lunch and loads of support and encouragement. Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting paint on, or bring your own apron. A box to carry your artworks home would also be handy but not essential.

Are children welcome to attend the workshops?

Older children, aged 16+, are more than welcome to purchase tickets and take part in the workshops. These workshops do not cater for younger children but I hope to hold kids' workshops in the future. I also encourage mums to come along and have a day without babies and toddlers - you deserve it!

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

I understand that plans change, so if you need to cancel your ticket contact me directly and I will arrange a full refund or credit (less non-refundable booking fee). Cancellations close 48 hours before day of workshop to allow others to join. Refunds will be given in the event of me cancelling.
