Art Therapy exploration (March 29)

Art Therapy exploration (March 29)

749 Darling StRozelle, NSW
Sunday, Mar 29 from 11:30 am to 1 pm AEDT
Overview

Explore a preliminary art therapy taster session with art therapist Skye Rogers. Art therapy offers an holisitic approach to wellbeing.

Art therapy is an evidence-based therapeutic approach which uses creative expression—such as drawing, painting and making things—to help explore emotions, reduce stress and enhance self-awareness.

Through the artistic process, thoughts/feelings that may be difficult to verbalise can be expressed and examined. Art therapy supports emotional regulation, improves coping skills, and fosters personal insight. It is effective for those experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression or life transitions. This therapeutic approach can be especially grounding for the neurodiverse. No artistic skill or ‘talent’ is needed to gain from its benefits.

Skye is a highly trained (Masters Degree) and experienced art therapist, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space to process experiences, build resilience and strengthen psychological well-being.

*No experience necessary. All ages welcome.

*Sessions overseen by a registered art therapist.

*usually valued at $160
