About the program

Hello! I am Claudia, the founder of Lúdico "The Playful Palette". Join me for a 4-week adult art journaling experience guided in Spanish, supported by a bilingual (Spanish/English) environment. These sessions prioritize the process of creating over the final product, allowing you to learn and practice the language in a natural, artistic and stress-free environment.

What we will explore

Over four sessions, you will build a personal visual diary using a variety of techniques:

• Dibujo (Drawing): Capturing the world around you with lines and sketches.
• Pintura (Painting): Exploring color theory and expression.
• Collage: Layering textures and found materials to tell a story.
• Técnicas Mixtas (Mixed Media): Combining various materials and techniques for unique, personalized results.

What to expect

• Hands-On Immersion: Instructions and artistic concepts are presented in Spanish, supported by a bilingual environment (Spanish/English).
• A Creative Escape: Held at the peaceful Carlton Neighbourhood Learning Centre, these sessions offer a dedicated time for mindfulness and self-expression.
• Personalized Guidance: With small group sizes, you’ll receive individual attention for both your artistic techniques and your language practice.
• All Skill Levels Welcome: No previous art experience or Spanish fluency is required.

What to Bring

• Art-Friendly Clothing: Wear something you don't mind getting a little paint on or bring an apron.
• Water Bottle: Stay hydrated while you create!
• Note: All other art supplies are provided. A minimum of 6 participants is required for the program to proceed.
