Art Explorers Club: Term 1 2026

Art Explorers Club | Term 1| Fridays 12:30pm – 2:30pm

Experiment with your art and explore different mediums and materials with our Mixed Media Course - this term with a focus on watercolour! In this six-week course, our tutor will expertly guide participants to learn and up-skill various art media from acrylic painting to charcoal drawing exploring botanical themes while enjoying the company of a friendly group of fellow participants.

Term Dates: Fridays, 20 February - 27 March 2026 (6 weeks)

Weekly Program Outline

Week 1 - Demo on Leaves:

Focusing on water colour techniques to paint different types of leave.

Week 2 - Flower Demo:

Focusing on confidence building, painting different types of flowers.

Week 3 - Still Life Demo:

Focusing on expanding confidence in painting broader subject area - still life objects.

Week 4 - Begin Large Watercolour:

Focusing on planning - penciling in your ideas and painting the background.

Week 5 - Continue Large Watercolour:

Focusing on filling out the details of the painting - especially the leaves.

Week 6 - Finishing Large Watercolour:

Focusing on finalising the details of the flowers and other finishing touches.
