About This Class – Seascapes & Seashells in Watercolour

Watercolour is known for its softness, movement and luminous transparency, making it the perfect medium for capturing ocean skies, rolling waves and delicate shells.

In this session, you’ll learn:

• How to blend watercolours to create sky and sea gradients
• Techniques for painting water movement and texture
• How to layer washes for depth
• Fine brush detailing for seashells
• Composition techniques inspired by coastal still life

Artists throughout history have been inspired by the sea — from J.M.W. Turner’s atmospheric skies to contemporary coastal artists who capture light and shoreline textures.

You’ll create your own calming ocean-inspired artwork to take home.

1:30pm – 4:30pm Open Social Studio – $15 (Free with class booking)
5:00pm – 7:00pm Art Class – $35pp
