Andy Plummer has been a key figure in the contemporary Australian glass scene since 1991, when he began studying glass forming at Sydney College of the Arts. In 1994, he co-founded the prestigious Ranamok Glass Prize with Maureen Cahill, an initiative that championed contemporary glass artists for two decades. Since retiring from the corporate world in 2012, Andy has returned full-time to his passion for art, design, and glassmaking.
Zimmi Forest is an artist whose practice is grounded in basketry and the transformative use of natural and discarded materials. Following early exhibition successes focused largely on basketry, Forest undertook formal studies in fine art. Her multidisciplinary skill set spans basketry, carpentry, floristry, ceramics, and welding, supporting a practice that is both materially diverse and conceptually focused. Zimmi is the only coffin weaver in Australia whose practice is grounded in Regenerative solutions.
Enjoy drinks, cheese and conversation in the spacious gallery, which will feature a curated exhibition of Andy and Zimmi’s artwork.
