The Department of Communities is running interactive practice sessions to further explore application of the principles guiding the authorisation of restrictive practices under the Authorisation of Restrictive Practices in Funded Disability Services Policy (available on the Authorisation of Restrictive Practices website).

We will be running separate sessions to consider three (3) different scenarios: ‘Kate’, ‘Anne’ and ‘Marcus’. This session explores application of the principles in a scenario for ‘Anne’.

This session is available to Behaviour Support Practitioners and to Senior Managers/ Delegates on Quality Assurance (QA) Panels who have completed a QA Panels Introductory Session.

(Registrations for this Practice Session and a QA Panels Introductory Session can be made at the same time to secure a place in this session, but the Introducatory Session must be completed prior to commencing this Practice Session.)

This session will be facilitated on the Microsoft Teams online meeting platform.

For any questions regarding this session, the prerequisite or if the session is ‘sold out’ please email: BehaviourSupportConsultancy@communities.wa.gov.au .
