Are Security of Payment adjudications a lottery to be avoided at all cost?

1 Hour Formal CPD

RICS together with Sydney Water is pleased to invite you to a CPD and networking event in Sydney.

RICS and Sydney Water are partnering to deliver a series of CPD events for the construction industry. In doing so we’re aiming to help build communication, better relationships and a network between all parts of the construction food chain.

Event Address:

CPD event at Sydney Water, 1 Smith Street, Paramatta, on Thurs 27 June – 5:30 to 6:30 PM, following by drinks and networking at Ruse Bar and Brasserie, Shop 4.01-4.03 Parramatta Square, 12 Darcy St, Parramatta NSW 2150

Speakers:

Rob Nelson-Williams (MRICS) – Director, Connell Griffin (Moderator)

Steven Blanch – Executive General Manager People & Governance, Sydney Water

Richard Inman (FRICS) – Director, Pier Consulting

Hugh Boyle (MRICS) – Commercial & Contracts Manager, Laing O’Rourke

Many clients, contractors and sub-contractors might agree that if a security of payment claim is being made then the relationship has broken down between parties and bridges are being burned. But how predictable or reliable are the outcome of adjudications? What is the current adjudication and nominating authority landscape like? Should this process be avoided at all costs? In this session a panel of client, contractor and adjudicator will discuss these issues and the need for parties to collaborate; maintain good relationships and communicate with supply chains.

Spaces are limited, so bookings are essential.
