APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN Artist in Residence (AiR) Studio Program

Fairfield City Museum & Gallery’s Artist in Residence (AiR) program supports artistic development for artists at any stage of their career.

Applications are open to artists working across a range of disciplines.

The AiR program includes:

• A rent-free studio available from 3 up to 12 months

• An artist fee $3,000 - $6,000 (based on length of residency)

• Materials fee up to $2,500

• Solo exhibition in the Stein Gallery or Museum

• Participation in FCMG workshop/public programs during the residency.

Residency period: 1 June 2026 – 1 June 2027

How to apply

• Submit a proposal addressing the 3 assessable criteria in a PDF form

• Submit your curriculum vitae

• Provide images and/or a website of past works.

We accept video proposals from artists who may not be able to express their practice in writing. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview. For full guidelines on how to apply please visit our website.
