About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Join us for a mesmerising cinematic journey at MAP mima as we screen "Anselm," a visually thrilling homage to one of the greatest contemporary artists, Anselm Kiefer. Blurring the boundaries between film and painting, this unique cinematic experience delves into Kiefer's past and present, unveiling the complex layers of his life and artistic legacy.

Director Wim Wenders's innovative use of sound enhances the meditative atmosphere, with whispers that flutter like bats through cavernous spaces, captivating the audience in an immersive experience. "Anselm" offers a refreshingly unconventional take on the artist's life, inviting viewers to explore the depths of Kiefer's work and the journey that shaped him as an artist. Don't miss this opportunity to witness the magic of Kiefer's artistry come to life on the big screen at MAP mima.
