As part of World Science Festival Queensland, this event will feature an interactive three-minute pitch session for four emerging research leaders from the Darling Downs and South West (DDSW) region, to present their insights on environmental disaster management, recovery and/or preparedness.
A panel of experts will evaluate the pitches, four emerging researchers will be chosen to pitch, and the winner will have the exclusive opportunity to enjoy a one-on-one lunch with our esteemed Chief Entrepreneur, Julia Spicer OAM, along with the potential to meet other senior leaders.
The event aims to foster collaboration with industry professionals, government officials, emergency service providers, and disaster preparedness experts, while showcasing the remarkable research being conducted in this field.
