ANIMA: 5Rhythms Weekly Movement Practice
A weekly mid-week mid-morning 5Rhythms movement lab.
5RHYTHMS BYRON SHIRE
Every Wednesday 10am - 12
A 5Rhythms weekly movement lab open to all levels of experience.
5Rhythms® is a creative and expressive movement practice that generates momentum for deep healing. It is at once meditation, medicine, and a series of maps to ecstasy.
An investigative deep dive revival . Dynamic Dance Journey
Movement . Meditation . Medicine . Maps to Ecstasy
Embodied Awareness . Healing . Transformation
When you arrive, the invitation is to enter into your own embodied warm-up, gently transitioning into the first wave. There will be a blend of guidance, 5Rhythms teachings, demonstration, and free self-guided practice.
Anima (Latin) at its most literal refers to breath, life, and vital force: the invisible principle that animates matter.
In ancient understanding, anima was not a moral or religious ‘soul’. It was embodied life-force. Thus anima is inherently somatic, not abstract.

5Rhythms® is a powerfully freeing, creative, and expressive movement practice that generates momentum for deep healing. It is meditation, medicine, and a series of maps to ecstasy.
There is no choreography...other than following the body, and listening in to it's wisdom.
There is some gentle structure and guidance to support our embodied presence.
The dance offer's us the space to drop out of the mind and into the feet, to allow the beat of the music to hold us as we step out of our own way and be danced.
A shamanic practice that calls us into a deep embodied awakening.

By putting the body in motion we heal the psyche and create an opportunity to connect body, heart, mind, soul, and spirit with our full aliveness! As we dance through this Wave we gain a wider movement vocabulary to find out our ground, express our hearts, get creative, free ourselves, and come home.
"I love these deep surging powerful rhythms...at their most profound, an invitation to awaken to our truth, at their most basic an outrageously fun opportunity to rock the body and dance!"
With an eclectic mix and variety of fabulous tunes and beats from all over the planet to rock your world. Simply drop in, fill up, and empty out, exactly as you are...
You can't get it wrong.
And you are always welcome exactly as you are.
It is for anyone, any age, any shape, any size, any level of fitness, any level of dance-ability. All you need is a body and a willingness to move.
